ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D

Joins all connection seams in asphalt surfaces and landfill construction. Creates watertight and voltage by-passing connections between old surface layers and new layers that are to be constructed.

ESTOL Contact Adhesive D comes ready-to-use in a container and is cold workable.
The viscose bitumen solution is polymer-modified.
The material has excellent water stability.
The usage of ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D is about 30 g/m and cm cutting edge height. ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D is a safe and economic alternative to joint tape. The water impermeability is confirmed by the IFM-Rottweil test certificate. The material withstands tensile stress.
Milled edges are securely sealed with ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D.

ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D must be stirred before use.
Seam edges should be dry and mostly dust-free. Prime with ESTOL-C40B5-S if necessary.
Apply ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D with a brush, scraper or the “ESTOL-Rapid Device”, which has been designed especially for this purpose (recommended for larger ceiling construction measures) fully onto the seam edge with a thickness of 3 mm.
After a ventilation period of about 15 minutes the hot mix can be paved on.

ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D is available in 25 kg containers. 16 containers are packed onto one pallet.
ESTOL-Contact Adhesive D can be stored up to one year in its unopened original container. Do not place the container in direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Store indoors in a cool, dry place; do not store outside.

ESTOL – seam adhesive (solvent free)

Seam bonding in asphalt road construction during installation “hot to cold”. Waterproof bonding in road construction as well as sealing of landfills.

The solvent-free ESTOL seam adhesive permanently and permanently bonds the individual sheets of an asphalt pavement. The seam is protected against tensile and pressing water. ESTOL seam adhesive is used where installation is “hot to cold” and a permanent seam bonding is required. When the hot mix is mounted, this is first loosely applied to the edge. The heat of the mix activates the ESTOL seam adhesive and the material can penetrate into the cavities of the unsealed asphalt lining at the seam. The cavities are greatly narrowed by the rolling process. ESTOL seam adhesive spreads in a limited space at the seam. A part is visible on the surface of the ceiling.
This deliberate binder overlay results in a good, lasting bond of the seam and thus the excellent properties of the ESTOL seam adhesive.

ESTOL seam adhesive is applied to the existing asphalt edge for watertight bonding of the seam. The ESTOL seam adhesive is cold to process.
ESTOL-Seam Adhesive can be applied to the mounting edge with brush, spatula or pressure vessel with lance (ESTOL-Rapid). ESTOL seam adhesive contains a high proportion of polymers. Due to the excellent elastic properties of the binder, high tensile forces can be absorbed and the
Seam is permanently sealed.

ESTOL seam glue is supplied in 25 kg of mineral beads. 16 containers are packaged on a pallet. In the unopened original container is ESTOLNahtkleber
one year storable. Protect from direct sunlight. Frost-free, cool, dry and not stored outdoors.

ESTOL-Joint Tape

ESTOL-Joint Tape for fusing asphalt layers in a vertical connection range, for road installations or sealing concrete pipes. It complies with ZTV Fug-StB01.
1. In road construction to seal edge joints and construction joints: Lasting sealing between poured concrete and/or roller-compacted asphalts and concrete pavements on roads and bridges. Lasting sealing of asphalt tracks with one another, e.g. hard shoulders to traffic lanes, for flawless repair seals and ruptured areas.
2. In civil engineering and channel construction: Sealing concrete pipes with round and oval profiles as well as sealing shaft rings and pre-cast concrete parts.

ESTOL-Joint Tape has plasto-elastic properties and good adhesive properties that mostly correspond to hot casting compounds for road and channel construction. ESTOL-Joint Tape is stable and packed true-to-form in order to enable convenient and easy handling at any occurring installation temperature, and it is resistant to traffic and weather influences. The bituminous basic mixture used corresponds to our joint and sleeve casting compounds in its stretching and adhesive properties, especially due to the addition of elastomers, as we have developed them based on decades of experience.

Primer K must be applied on a clean and dust free surface. The tape profiles are stuck on using Primer K. It is structured on the principle of a contact adhesive so that flawless adhesion is possible after the necessary full evaporation of the contained solvents. Before pressing on the tape it should be heated using a propane gas flame.

Adhesion to the already existing joint flank and the new asphalt layer and/or concrete part is done by fusing with the joint tape. Experience has shown that the temperature of the asphalt layer being installed is sufficient to heat a 10 mm tape continuously to +120 °C and thereby melt it flawlessly. Our tape is configured for this. The main difference between the installation of plasto-elastic joint tapes and joint sealing compounds is that the joint tape is laid before the bituminous layer is installed while conventional joint sealing compounds are applied afterwards.
Joint tape must therefore accommodate not only the seasonal temperature fluctuations against surface and edge adhesion, but also shrinkage when the asphalt layer cools. This should be taken into consideration when selecting objects for joint tape. We recommend only using joint tape where the asphalt layer being sealed has a force-locked connection with the substructure, in other words, where considerable horizontal movements cannot occur when the layer cools from the installation temperature to the normal outside temperature.
