emulsions
The layer bond describes the connection between two asphalt layers, which prevents them from shifting due to traffic loads. This significantly improves the service life and resistance of asphalt pavements. This connection consists of interlocking and bonding. Effective interlocking is achieved when the lower layer (substrate) is sufficiently rough. The layers are bonded together using a binding agent such as bitumen emulsion. This connection is crucial to prevent movement between the layers when exposed to climate and traffic loads. A layer bond that meets requirements is a prerequisite for a long service life of the road surface.

ESTOL-CalcProtect
ESTOL-CalcProtect is a concentrated calcium hydroxide suspension. This is used for layer bonding and asphalt reinforcement and ensures less surface stickiness, which reduces the sweating of the bitumen emulsion and protects the actual layer bond.
