Any questions!? What is layer bonding anyway? Of course, we have the right answer to that too: Layer bonding describes the connection between two asphalt layers that prevents them from shifting due to traffic loads. This significantly improves the service life and resistance of asphalt pavements. This connection consists of interlocking and bonding. Effective interlocking is achieved when the lower layer (sub-base) is sufficiently rough. The layers are bonded using a binding agent such as bitumen emulsion. This connection is crucial to prevent movement between the layers when exposed to climate and traffic loads. A layer composite that meets requirements is a prerequisite for a long service life of the road surface.
